My Story

Introducing… the incredibly handsome and Pyr-fect boy, Whisp!

Whisp is a 1-year-old, 65lb Great Pyrenees with a gorgeous coat and zest for life! He came to rescue with a broken calcaneus (heel) that had been injured for several months. Because of this, he will always have a hitch to his giddyup, but he doesn’t let that stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. He can still climb stairs and run with the best of them!

He is a playful, goofy puppy who loves other dogs, toys, chewing on bones, and being outside. He’s perfectly housebroken and takes treats very gently. Whisp would adore another playful canine companion and/or an active family in his forever home.

Whisp is a Great Pyrenees mixed with something goofy and fun with lots of energy. He’s a lovable bug who will require a physically fenced yard, kids 10+, and sofa and bed privileges. He wants to be as close to you as possible and will follow you around from room to room and settle next to you for the day – until his next romp session. He has not lived with cats before, but he does like to chase woodland creatures so I wouldn’t risk it. He is a Great Pyrenees mix which means he will bark at the wind blowing through the trees and other things he believes you need to be saved from.

Whisp is currently located in Chester County, PA, and can travel anywhere within a reasonable distance.
