My Story

This sweet girl, Weslee, has a story… Her five babies were taken into rescue but someone gave mom away before Big Fluffy could intercede. Fast forward a few days and mom jumped the fence in her new home and found her way 10 miles back to where her puppies were previously under a shed. Of course they were no longer there as they were with us but the fact that this dog pulled off that kind of feat is just simply amazing! We of course took her in, and reunited her with her babies. She finished nursing them, and now is ready to be adopted.

Weslee is a 2ish year old Shepherd mix who weighs around 54 pounds. She’s lost all her “baby weight” way faster than any human. It’s just not fair, but there you have it.

Weslee is good with all people she has met. She’s still a little bit bouncy, and would be best in a home with children over the age of 8. She is a kind soul and practically perfect in every way. Weslee adores other dogs, and would be best in a home with a securely fenced in yard, and another young dog to hang with. She is perfecting her house manners, is perfect in a crate, and learning that leash walks around the neighborhood are a really cool thing.

We have not had Weslee around any cats, but we don’t think they would be an issue for this wonderful dog.

Folks, Weslee is as sweet as they come, and is so ready for her forever home.
