My Story

This is Triton. Why someone named him after the God of the Sea I have no idea, because he’s never been to the ocean and as a landlocked dog, he’s had zero opportunities to see water thus far.

Triton is a unique dog looking for the right adopter. This is a border collie/terrier mix which means you have a very active, super smart dog with an agenda. Triton loves people. He wants to be on you, near you and with you. He is a very social and active dog and he needs activity. Triton would love to hike the Appalachian Trail with you or go for a jog. He’d probably love boating/kayaking. He is quick to pick up anything and I would suspect he’ll be very easy to train to do a variety of things.

Triton needs to be an only dog and he also needs a cat free home. He also needs an active adopter who wants someone to be their companion. He’s not a spastic freak by any stretch, but he needs physical and mental workouts. Triton loves dog puzzles and he loves toys. If he could find a home where he could the only, he’d be the happiest dog alive. We do think that given the border collie ancestry and the activity level, if kids are in the home, they need to be over 12. He shows all kinds of herding tendencies and when I was a kid, my parents thought it was hilarious when our collie would nip at my heels to move me. Most parents aren’t amused, so be aware of what you get.

This is a very lovable and happy boy who needs the right person to make his world complete. He can go anywhere we go and we will transport. Interested would be Triton adopters should email lori@bigfluffydogs.com.
