My Story

Styles is a 2 year old German Shepherd who came to us from fairly awful circumstances. Styles was chained to a shed and left out in the elements. He was also hit by a car and dragged back to his chain and left there. He was removed from his home by law enforcement.

Styles is an exceptionally intelligent and sensitive dog. He is a homebody who wants to be with his people and no one else. He is wary of new people and needs to be in a home with people who will respect his boundaries. He is silly and playful with those he knows and loves. He is terrified of new people and introductions have to be slow and not pushy.

Styles has excellent manners and is very easy to train. He loves his toys and of course, balls. He is moderately high energy and will require a securely fenced yard. He does have some dog friends but he had no real socialization with them and introductions with new dogs would need to be slow. He would like to snack on cats so no cats. We think given his background that he should not be in a home with kids, not because he wants to eat them, but because they tend to have new people that come with them in and out of the house and that would not be good for Styles.

Styles will do well in the right home with German Shepherd people who know and love the breed and who can handle a dog who is just a little bit broken but mending.
