My Story

Meet STRUDEL! Who doesn’t love a sweet pastry? Because Strudel is just as sweet as the pastry she is named after!

With any pastry, we tend to enjoy them most when they are nice and warm. Well, the same goes for this pup! She takes some time to warm up, but once she learns that humans aren’t there to eat her and instead take care of, she’ll be your new best friend! Strudel came to us as a stray, and so she is a bit skittish when it comes to new people so she is going to need a patient adopter to help her warm up and reach her full potential of deliciousness!

Although it took this sweet girl some time to open up, she is good with all dogs of different shapes and sizes, however, Strudel is definitely a no cat dog! Because she is a bit skittish, Strudel would like a nice, quiet home where she can decompress and learn how to dog! She would do well in a home with a doggy companion to show her that having a warm home and people to love her is not a bad thing! She would also do well with older kids who are respectful of her space and allow her to adjust in her own time!

Strudel is a 9 month old whippet/boxer mix who will need help with potty training and learning that a leash is not scary. She also needs to be supervised in the yard as she has been known to jump fences or attempt to dig holes to China. Strudel has never been given the opportunity to just be a dog and enjoy all that life has to offer, so if you think you can help open Strudel up and warm her insides, please fill out an application and email paige@bigfluffydogs.com!
