My Story

Introduction: Hello everyone, I’m Rufus! I am new to this whole “matching” scene, so luckily I have my girl, Corey, to help me out. She says I have to fill out this “profile” to see if any of you out there are a good match for me. So, here it goes…

– Cats (those sacks of meow are so cute when they purr)
– Friendly dogs (I’m not a fan of bossy dogs who threaten to steal my food, but other than that, game on!)
– Kids!
– Patrolling my yard. (singing) “My big bark scares all the squirrels from the yard, and their like, It’s louder than yours. Damn right, its louder than yours. I can teach you, but I’d have to charge.”
– Geese! They are SO much fun to chase and their poop is wonderful to roll in, no matter what Foster Mamma says.
– Food. All the food. Especially my night-night ice cream snack!
– Going for long walks. We have to say “Hi” to ALL the neighbors. After all, we don’t want anyone to feel left out.
– Protecting my people. That’s my job. But Foster Mamma is the boss-lady, so if she says someone is ok, then I guess they are ok.

Dis-Likes:
– Sharing my food or special treats. I like to take them in my crate so I know they are safe.
– Unusual noises.
– Having a matted coat. Been there, done that, got shaved. It’s coming back in now so I will soon be back to my gloriously luxuriant self, and I want to KEEP it that way.
– Marshmallow people. I need someone I can trust and follow. If you’re too timid to show me the ropes or too busy to earn my trust, I’ll probably walk all over you.

What’s Your Ideal Date: Don’t tell Foster Mom I said this, but I LOVE trips to the lake so I can drag her around after the geese and ducks and roll in all the wonderfully stinky poop! It’s definitely not HER idea of a good date, but it puts a big ‘ol smile on my face. I would also enjoy a visit to DQ to get my small vanilla cone!
