Rufio

My Story

Rufio is a gentle soul looking for a plush couch to call his own. His doggie nirvana would be a home that had a dog bed in every room as this would combine his two most favorite pastimes… spending time with his humans and napping! Rufio is the dog that will follow you from room to room, just wanting to be close to you. He is incredibly sweet and loving, and very low key. He’d be best in a home with few stairs, as he does have some issues with his 11-year old hips that make stairs a little tough for him (his current foster parents carry him upstairs to bed every night!). He would be happiest in a quieter home, as his hearing and eyesight aren’t as sharp as they were in his younger, spritely days and he can startle a little easy. He’s house trained, terrific on leash, and good in the car. While unknown with cats, he is fine with other dogs with proper introductions. While he could be an only dog, he definitely enjoys some canine companionship and would be happy with a buddy as well.
