My Story

This is Rooney. He is an absolutely adorable freckle-faced 5-year-old, 47 pound, Australian shepherd mix looking for his home. He was surrendered to us because he growled at the new baby in the home. To be clear, Rooney growls and grumbles his way through life and it means nothing. He growls when he’s happy, he growls when he’s sad. He growls to growl. He loves to growl! I feel like there should be a poem in here somewhere. This is just how he talks. You MUST watch the video attached to truly understand.

He has been fine with cats he has met. Any dogs in the home need to understand he will growl at them even when he’s having fun and playing. He also plays rough. Make sure you have rough and tumble laid-back dogs or alternately, no dogs. Kids 12 and up will be fine. Fenced yard required so he can continue his love of ball fetching.
