My Story

Meet Paxton. This big love of a dog is ready for his forever home. Paxton is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. He’s a member of the livestock Guardian Dog family, and is handsome, smart and lovable. If he was any more laid back, he would be dead.

Paxton is about 2 years old and weighs in around 85 pounds. This dog gets along with everyone and everything and he would most definitely win Mr. Congeniality if dogs were awarded prizes like that. He’s quite a big boy, so we would feel most comfortable placing him in a home with kids over 8. Paxton has zero natural enemies – he is great with dogs, cats and people. He’ll even tolerate politicians which is a lot for anyone to manage.

Paxton is well-mannered, sweet and fun, and will be a great addition to any family. He does need a securely fenced yard or a deep commitment to leash walking as he is untrustworthy off leash. He wants a home of his own, a fenced in yard to romp in, a family to love him, and a couch to take naps on.
