My Story

Lynyrd is the squishiest, kissiest, sweetest boy you’ll ever want to meet. Lynyrd is about 12 months old and is already over 100 lbs. We think he’s a Leonberger – or maybe an Anatolian/Great Pyrenees mix, but whatever he is, he is and will be a BIG boy when fully grown. We don’t know how he got to the KY shelter where we found him, but their loss is our gain. With a bit of training, Lynyrd promises to be a very good boy for life.

Lynyrd can be a bit dog-selective with other male dogs, but when he is good, he is very good with them. He is a bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun Tigger of a dog, so be sure yours will appreciate a playmate that wants to play endless hours – or in the absence of other dogs, you have enough energy to keep up with him. He is great on a leash and crate and house-trained, too! He is not good with cats or other small creatures so I would recommend a house without them for now. Also, kids in the teen years and over would be best as he is guaranteed to push over younger kids and smother them with kisses – and not every little kid (or their parents) would appreciate it. Lynyrd will require a fenced yard, someone home more often than not, and someone who is willing to continue the training of an overgrown 100+ lb. puppy
