My Story

I would like you all to meet the very special Katara!

Katara is extremely special in many ways and anyone would be lucky to have her as their companion for life! Katara is a happy gal with a goofy grin whose tongue is usually always hanging out of her mouth! She is a two year old potential rottie mix (we really have no idea) weighing about 64 pounds. She is super quirky and has a personality unlike any other pup we’ve seen and Katara would like her future adopters to know some specifics about her:

1. She loves dancing! Put on some tunes or play her a song (her foster brother plays the ukulele for her) and she’ll bop her head in encouragement and hope you never stop!

2. She a great sport about dressing up! She knows she’s pretty cute and with an added bandana or a nice bow, her smile can light up the whole room!

3. This girl is a toy lover but for anyone who doesn’t like when it “snows” in the house, Katara is very polite and just likes to hoard the toys. She loves a good game of tug-o-war but her toys are special to her and she keeps them safe but doesn’t mind sharing with others either!

4. Katara came to us from a shelter in New Mexico and much to her foster mom’s surprise, Katara has responded well to Spanish commands! This girl is bilingual! What a smart pup!

5. And lastly, but certainly not least, Katara is a lover. She absolutely adores little humans (her foster brother is 5 years old) and she loves to wrestle and cuddle up with the resident puppers! She also is so smart that when her foster mom was sad, Katara knew and put her head on her foster mom’s shoulder and her paw on her other shoulder giving her foster mom much needed comfort and support.

This sweet and smart girl is in search of her furever family! She would love someone who she can cuddle up with and who can also take her to the park or play a game of tug-o-war in the yard. She would be great with little humans and would love to have a furry companion to keep her occupied when her humans aren’t around. Overall, Katara is very special and is ready to start a new adventure with her furever people.
