Hughie

My Story

Hughie is a 2-year-old 15 lb Pom/Chi mix. This little nugget is very chill, low energy, LOVES kids, and is good with dogs. His favorite person in the whole wide world is his 8 yo, human foster brother. We have not cat-tested him. Hughie absolutely loves toys and has a habit of collecting them in his crate. He also loves to play fetch.

Hughie is from a hoarding case and is just discovering the pleasures of having a home and soft things to play with. He does have some puppy-like behavior so his human would need to work with him or at least keep paper towels, and napkins out of his reach for a while. He really is a great little dog and happy to just follow his foster mom around all day or sit on the couch if his boys are home. Hughie is crate trained but is not a fan of crates. He will eventually settle down if there another doggie sibling to keep him company. He is making great progress on potty-training and will need continued work on that. Hughie’s ideal home will have kids he can love on and dogs that he can follow the lead and learn to dog. He is currently fostered in Nashville but ready to travel wherever we travel to.
