My Story

Holly is a 4 year old hound. She does hound things, like bark and run around a yard with her nose glued to the ground. Holly likes 2 things beyond all others: petting and food. Like me, she would probably walk barefoot across a freshly salted highway strewn with glass for something delicious. Holly is also a complete and shameless hussy for petting.

Holly is a good girl. She is good with literally every single person, including politicians and used car salesmen, so you know it takes a special dog to even love them. She is good with other dogs and prefers them to be indifferent to her as she is to them. After all, they aren’t edible, so why bother? She will chase cats, rabbits and small woodland creatures who ar potentially edible in her view.

Her negatives: she is untrustworthy off leash, she can tell who supplied it that denied it (and will rat you out), and she can and will sing. She hates being crated and prefers to be left out. That’s it. Her upside is enormous and someone has to want her. I had Mari bring her to my house today and Holly jumped straight on the bed and demanded that we adore her. She needs a bed in a home of her own.
