My Story
Hoagie is an awesome 3-year-old, knee-high staffordshire terrier/blue heeler mix who came to us from a life of misery with a collar embedded in his neck and 60 of his closest friends in a hoarding case. Despite his less-than-glorious start, he is the happiest and sweetest dog in the universe! Hoagie is super dog-friendly and very people-friendly. He is fairly high on the bounce meter, so kids over 8 or lumberjack sturdy would be best. I would not recommend him for cat homes as there is not a cat alive who would appreciate this dog.
Hoagie is good on a leash, he is crate-trained and house-trained, and although I would not leave a sandwich unattended on a coffee table, he is a gentleman and a pleasure to have in the house. He is an active dog and will require consistent exercise. This is not a dog for the lazy among us who want a dog you have to check for a pulse. A fenced yard or dog park access will make your life much easier unless you are one of those insane people who run five miles a day for fun.
