My Story

Meet Gemma!

Gemma is a 2 year old Pyrenees mix who has been waiting to be cleared to find a home of her very own. She is ready!

This sweet girl came to us morbidly obese and with two knees that simply were not holding up her round physique. Gemma not only lost 50lbs, but we were able to surgically fix both knees! She now weighs an appropriate 90lbs, is feeling good, and is ready for the rest of her life.

That being said, Gemma is a low energy girl who is very gentle with her people. She likes short walks and even longer naps – yes, this girl does not have marathons in her future. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite! She also loves squeaky toys and just genuinely enjoys being good company to her people.

Gemma is cat friendly but does not prefer to share her castle with other dogs. Her ideal home has knowledge of LGD breeds and a physically fenced yard.
