Gary
My Story
Lay your eyes on one of the sweetest and most special dogs you could ever meet!
Gary is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix. He was surrendered to Big Fluffy after going blind, and his owner felt he could no longer care for him. Well thankfully, Gary is now in great hands and is thriving in his foster home! Even though Gary can’t see, it doesn’t let that stop him! He has no fear — he quickly figured out the layout of his foster home. He LOVES going on walks. He is great with dogs of all sizes (currently living with 3 littles and 1 closer to his size). He enjoys head scratches and naps… lots of naps. He is also trustworthy in the house (possibly because he spends most of his time snoozing).
Gary has a few specific needs for his future home and family — he is a big boy at 100 pounds, so he will need someone strong enough to get him into a vehicle, as he cannot do it on his own. He needs a home with limited steps — only one floor living for this guy. He tends to walk into furniture and walls, so more of an open concept home would be ideal, but not necessary. He also would love a fenced yard and someone willing to take him on daily walks.
