My Story

A message from Fancy’s foster: Fancy has been with us for almost 3 months. She is coming out of her shell more and more every day. She is SUPER sweet and gentle. Fancy loves a belly rub and once she gets to know you, she wants to be your friend. Fancy is now house-trained. She’s very easy to crate and quietly sleeps through the night there.

In the time we’ve fostered Fancy, she has quickly learned to be a good member of the family, but she still reminds us that she’s a dog and sometimes mistakes mom’s shoes for her chew toy! Fancy likes to be close to family. She is a delight on a leash…walking right next to your side. In our yard, she will chase a ball but is less interested in retrieving it. She is also keenly interested in birds and squirrels. Her signature look is one ear up, one ear down, and makes it impossible to not to smile – even on the occasions she is mischievous. Our family cat lets her know who is in charge, and Fancy is ok with that. Our teenage boys spooked her a bit at first, but she has learned to be comfortable with them. We are still working on manners around the house, and she is making progress. She is a sweet companion and will make a wonderful addition to a family. Although she loves her people, Fancy is best as the only dog in the home.
