My Story

Ellis is a 3 year old, 35 pound shepherd/golden retriever/beagle mix who came to us from a hoarding case in a very rural area. There were over 50 who looked a lot like him there and the owner of the dogs was an elderly veteran who was attempting to care for dumped dogs, but who lost control of the population.

Ellis is a quiet, shy dog who is looking for a chaos-free home. He is fine with people, with dogs and cats, but I do think kids past the screaming years would be best. A fenced yard is a definite must. He is housebroken and well-mannered and with a little time and patience, this dog will be perfect.

Ellis is never going to be the life of the party, but he will make the right person a fantastic pet.
