My Story

Behold the beautiful 3-year-old Boris! Boris is a pocket Pyr that tops the scale at 45 pounds. He’s a toteable Pyr and ready to find his new Furever home. It’s that smile that tips the sale on this fella. If you ever doubted that dogs don’t grin ear-to-ear, I submit Boris.

Boris has a bit of a sad tale. He was dumped in a parking lot with his sister as a puppy. A very well-meaning man without the means or the space to care for the pups couldn’t leave them there and he took them in. They lived outside and every time it rained they lived in a mud pit. This was not fun. Boris’ owner recently passed and the man’s family surrendered the pups to Big Fluffy. Boris had his bath and as you can see, he cleans up pretty nicely. He’s got his going to town fur on and he’s ready to travel.

What we know about Boris is that he’s great with dogs who don’t use him as a springboard. He enjoys the calm of a quieter home. We think he would do best with kids over 10 who will respect his space and have the patience to show Boris what it’s like to become a beloved Furever family member.

Boris is good with cats he’s met at the kennel. Despite all his recent changes and his new start in life, Boris is just a really happy dude. He’s loving figuring out treats and pets and the joy of butt scritches.
