My Story

Everyone please meet the beautiful Bess!

Bess is a 2 year old suspected lab/pyr mix weighing around 67 pounds. Bess is what we define as a “velcro” pup which just means that she will follow you everywhere including the bathroom so she can get some pets. Her love language is physical touch and would love nothing more than to cuddle up with her person on a soft bed or couch and enjoy the finer things in life like a warm fire or a cozy blanket or some juicy reality TV with her best friend by her side!

Bess is both dog and cat friendly and we suspect it may be beneficial for Bess to have another pup around due to her shyness. A furry friend may help her break out of her shell faster! She likes to play with other pups which she shows through her playful bows and zoomies, and she is indifferent to cats. Although Bess is gentle and kid friendly, she really despises loud noises (i.e. fireworks, thunder, etc.) and so we would suggest a home with kids above the screeching ages so Bess can enjoy the luxuries of life while not having to stress about where the bouncing toddler is at all times.

Bess requires an adopter who is dedicated to continuing her training and socialization. She does require a bit more leash training but she is incredibly smart and should get it down pat with some consistency, time, and patience. Bess would also benefit from a fenced yard or dedicated leash walkers as once she is comfortable, she does tend to top out on the higher energy side of the spectrum.
