Ben Harper

My Story

Strikingly handsome, Ben Harper is sure to turn heads wherever he goes. Two years old and 50 lbs, this collie-terrier mix is happily making the adjustment from life on the streets to coddled housedog. Lavish him with treats and chew toys, and he is ready to sign on the dotted line! Friendly, playful, and energetic, Ben is looking for an active family that will take him on lots of adventures. After an excitement-packed day of exploring new places with his people, Ben likes to unwind with a bowl of cold water and a cozy dog bed to snuggle up in.

Ben is good with all people, and is best suited with older children (12 and up) as he is quite bouncy and strong. Ben does well with other dogs, and made me promise that he will have a canine companion to romp and wrestle with in his forever home. Ben is not a fan of the kittehs, so a feline-free home is in everyone’s best interest. Ben is both crate trained and house trained. He is vocal, so he would not be well suited for homes with shared walls (apartments, condos, etc). In terms of naughty habits, Ben is a known counter surfer and has also honed his skills on getting into the trash can. Given his prior days on the streets, who can blame him?
