Beethoven

My Story

Beethoven is a 3 year old, 43 pound Saluki mix that came to us all the way from Doha, Qatar. Beethoven lived with an expat family for many months before he came to us to find a permanent home here after his rescue on the streets of Qatar.

Beethoven is a quick, active dog who is exceedingly intelligent. Don’t think you can hide where you put his toy. He knows. We suspect he may have some border collie in the ancestry which will only intensify the intelligence.

Beethoven is well-mannered in the house. He walks well on the leash although he does get excited and wants to romp now and then. He is a sight hound and it’s obvious when Mr. Squirrel shows up. Beethoven would love to catch the squirrel and he’s fast enough it might be a possibility. For this reason, we do not fully trust him with cats and any cat homes would need very careful introduction and monitoring.

Beethoven is best as an only dog as he just prefers his own company and doesn’t want to share the snacks or the petting. This dog is ideal for an active home with a fenced yard who just wants one happy dog and that’s it. He is great with people of all ages 5 and up.
