My Story

Everyone please meet ATTICUS!

Atticus came to us back in October when animal control found him wandering around the streets of Tennessee. He came to us in rough shape but is now available and ready to find his forever home. Although we do not know his full background beyond how he blessed us with his presence, we do know that he is a little nervous in new situations. That is understandable considering the things he may have experienced living as a stray. However, he is now with us and looking for someone who can show him how good life can truly be!

Atticus is a two-year-old german shepherd mix weighing around 50lbs. Atticus is both cat and dog friendly, but because of his nervousness, he needs slow introductions and would need a furry sibling that respects his boundaries. He also wouldn’t mind being your one and only and soaking up all your love. Atticus has a sweet spot when it comes to his energy levels as he loves to go on a good walk, hike, or romp around the backyard but is also cool just binge-watching juicy reality shows with absolutely no judgement at all.

In Atticus’ ideal home, he will have some space to decompress and an adopter willing to give him some time to warm up to his new environment. Once he warms up, however, he will shower you with all the love in the world. Because of this, we think Atticus’ would benefit from a low traffic household where he can enjoy the peace and quiet and learn to live the high life! With some time and love, we expect Atticus to really blossom!
