My Story

Beautiful Aspin is ready to find her happily-ever-after. This 17-month old, 125-lb Great Dane didn’t have the easiest start in life, and came into rescue following a Craig’s List posting indicating unspeakable things would be done to her and her sister if they were not removed from the poster’s property immediately. Sick and riddled with parasites, Aspin and her sister were saved and the following months were spent nursing them back to health before we could start the search for their forevers. I don’t think anyone is happier than Aspin that the day is finally here!

Aspin is an incredibly sweet, joyful girl who is looking for a home where her people will dote on her. She wants to be the focus of their attention and will gladly reciprocate all of the affection bestowed upon her. She can be a bit of a rebellious teenager with a stubborn streak, so she will need to go to a home where her family is committed to continuing her work on obedience training.

Aspin is good with all people and best with older, sturdier children given her size and bouncy demeanor. She is good with all dogs, and would be best in a home without the felines. She is both crate trained and house trained. Aspin is a dream on the leash and absolutely loves to go for walks. She is medium energy, and needs a couple of daily walks and lots of play time. If she didn’t have a canine companion to romp and wrestle with, she would need lots of exercise as an ample outlet for her puppy energy.

Aspin is adoptable in the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast (AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, VA, WV). If you’re interested in adopting Aspin, please complete an adoption application at www.bigfluffydogs.com, and then email kim@bigfluffydogs.com. Thank you!
