My Story

Please meet the incredibly sweet Alfred!

This boy was found laying on the side of the road, badly injured. A really nice man saw him, pulled over, and brought him to us. Alfred was hurt, really hurt, with a dislocated elbow, a compound fracture of the radius and ulna, along with a lot of bumps and bruises. He was severely underweight also. Despite his injuries, Alfred just wanted to give kisses and get petting.

Alfred has had surgeries and recovery time, he has been given lots of healthy food and even more love from our Big Fluffy family. He has gained strength and is continuing to gain weight.

He is a three year old Labrador Retriever mix who currently weighs 57 pounds. He adores all people. He has not had the opportunity to meet the very young, but we have no doubt he would be a good, loving dog.

Alfred loves other dogs, is well mannered, greeting appropriately and playing nicely. He has been a good boy around the cats he has met. He is a dream on a leash with just a little pulling when he sees something he finds especially interesting.

Alfred is a happy, loving, medium energy dog who is looking for his forever family. If you are interested in adopting this great dog, please email lori@bigfluffydogs.com to introduce yourself.
