My Story

Meet Akani!

She’s a 5 year old, 80lb Saint Bernard mix who came in alongside a group of Saints from a rural shelter. She finished her heartworm treatment and it’s now her turn to be adopted!

Akani is sure to turn heads with her gorgeous heterochromia and spotted ears! She is super sweet and loves her people. She loves playing with stuffed toys and is a joyful and kind girl. She is still learning how to “dog” but would enjoy the company of other dogs and even dog-savvy cats! Sturdy kids 6+ should be good!

Her ideal home will have patience and understand she’s just now been learning how to be a house pet and things like walking on a leash are fairly new to her! She’s a lovely girl and will do well in a variety of homes.
