My Story

If you’re up for a goofy and precocious pint sized bundle of love, you are in the right place because Giblet is your boy!

Giblet is a hoot! This little 7 pound, 14-week old Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher mix is full of both sugar and spice and everything nice! He is happy, goofy, sweet & affectionate. He has no fear and no concept of how small he really is. Despite coming from a hoarding situation with 20 other dogs, he has never let that phase him and is very friendly with everyone.

Giblet, or also affectionately known as Gibs, is what we call a velcro dog which just means he has zero concept of personal space and a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out). He will join you on your adventures to the bathroom and will be at your feet while you’re cooking, but most importantly, he likes to get up close and personal for nap time and his favorite spot is his human’s chest/face (accidental smothering is not off limits with this boy!)

Giblet is a perfect little boy and has no prey drive. He is currently being raised in a home with 3 free roaming bunnies & other dogs. He has not been cat tested but due to his ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude about bunnies, we would safely assume cats wouldn’t phase him either. He sleeps all night in a crate with no accidents and is still working on potty training outside but is very good with pee pads!

Giblet’s ideal home would be one with a person who doesn’t mind an accidental smothering every once in a while and someone who will play with him (toys are his favorite)! Giblet would do well in any home and anyone would be lucky to adopt this sweet boy!
