General Gherkins

My Story

Meet General Gherkins, or GG for short!

General Gherkins is a 2 year old 20lb Dachshund mix who came to BFDR with 12 of his relatives from a hoarding case. He is sweet and handsome, both inside and out!

He is housebroken, crate trained and a super sweet boy who loves to sleep upside down and beg for your ice cream. He didn’t have much of a life before rescue, so his ideal family will understand that he is on the shy and introverted side right now and will take time to come out of his shell. He has a lot of love to give and a patient home will help him continue to blossom!

GG gets along well with all dogs, doesn’t bother the kitties and would be ok with respectful kids 10+. His perfect home has another dog as he’s always had a canine companion and is happy to be with them!

He’s currently in Nashville, TN and can travel to any of our Petfinder locations.
