Turner
My Story
Introducing.. one of the kindest dogs to ever walk through the doors of BFDR.. Turner!
Turner is a 1.5 year old Great Pyrenees with an old soul that will capture your heart. He is loved by all who know him at BFDR, but he is ready for a forever family of his very own.
He came to us as a puppy with a congenital deformity in one of his hind legs. It was determined that removing the leg and replacing the hip on the remaining leg, would give Turner the best mobility and quality of life. He’s a very happy tripod boy who will do best in a home with minimal stairs and a physically fenced yard.
Turner loves other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion, as he currently lives with a pack in his foster home. His ideal dog siblings will be gentle playmates, as T prefers styles of play that don’t involve him getting knocked off balance. He’s been lovingly dubbed the nickname, “Uncle Turner”, as he has raised many foster puppies who have come into his home. Turner is also cat friendly!
Above all, Turner adores children and strongly desires to be part of a family. This is a dog that wants to tag along to sports games, hang out in the yard, and snuggle on the couch with his humans. He is loving, gentle and truly a gem with people of all ages.
