My Story

This handsome dog is Jimmy Buffett. Jimmy and his brother were pretty much tossed in a field as puppies and left to grow up there. I believe the original plan was for them to guard goats, but there were no goats, so they just lived in a field for three years until we got them.

Jimmy is incredibly sweet. He has learned to love life at 72 degrees where he is inside when it storms and the weather is 100% predictable. He is super jazzed to have food whenever he wants it, and he is loving getting petted and pampered. What he needs is finishing school where he learn that life is pretty cushy from here on out. He is good with all people, he is good with dogs, and he doesn’t care about cats.

Jimmy needs a home with people who have a fenced yard and who are happy to just have a nice dog who needs them. He still has things to learn, like the vacuum cleaner is not evil and leashes are generally good things, but he is a very well-mannered boy and just a nice dog. This dog would do well with people who understand the breed and appreciate a big lug of a dog.
