My Story

Jamaica is a 4 year old shepherd/lab mix who came all the way from Qatar. How a dog from Qatar ended up named after a Caribbean island we will never know, but clearly someone was dipping into the rum punch that night and they failed to share.

Jamaica is a little on the shy side but she warms up rapidly. She will never be the life of the party dog and she would be most comfortable in a low key home. She is good with adults and older, calm kids past the screaming years. She does not particularly enjoy being jumped on by energetic dogs, so chill dogs are ideal. Definitely no kitties for this girl. Jamaica also needs someone home more often than not or a dog buddy to keep her company.
