My Story
This is Grits, a 7 year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell mix ball of sassiness. In case you are wondering, yes, there is a Hominy and no, I didn’t name either of them as they came in with these names. Grits and friends (and there were five) were surrendered to a vet clinic because their owner had dementia and could not care for them.
Grits is good with all people, all dogs and cats even though the cats are less jazzed about him. He is full of kisses and active and the world is his oyster. This dog will make a fantastic friend for those who appreciate small, confident dogs who love life. Fair warning, this is not a dainty lap dog. He loves his walks, and while he will crash on the sofa with you to watch Succession, he will expect a walk later.
Grits would do well in a home with people who appreciate a little dog with a big personality and who want a tiny athlete in their home. He would be fine in a home with kids over 8.
