My Story

Once upon a time, there was an old German Shepherd named Jack Shepard. It seems his owners disappeared and Jack Shepherd was left to wander the streets. Jack did not travel alone. He came with a red tug toy named Wilson. Where Jack goes, Wilson goes.

Jack Shepherd is a very smart boy and we have no doubt that had he been gifted with opposable thumbs, he would have found a way to drop pebbles on his wanderings to be able to return home by following their shine in the moonlight. However, with only a mouth at his disposal and lacking thumbs, Wilson took precedence and Jack never lost Wilson.

Jack Shepard is somewhere around 10-years-old and he’s a lug at 110 pounds. He is also a very sweet boy who loves people. He has arthritis which is unsurprising given his age which is well-controlled with basic meds and he leads a happy life. He is good with people, he loves dogs and he can be with dog-savvy cats. He would be best in a home with people who are home more often than not and fewer stairs would be good.

This dog is a lovely, well-mannered dog who needs a home for his remaining years. He comes with Wilson so it’s a bonded pair. Jack Shepard is in Nashville but can travel anywhere we do.
