Sheba
My Story
Sheba is a 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix who came to us from less than glorious circumstances. She spent all her life outside as a working dog which she did not want to do. Sheba wanted to be with people and she ran away constantly. In an attempt to keep her in the field, her previous owner shocked the everloving bejeezus out of her with both a shock collar and an electrified fence. She took the pain and ran through. Finally, he reached out for help.
Sheba is the sweetest dog. She is great with people of all ages, she is fine with dogs that don’t to jump on her/get in her face/take liberties that you usually have to wait a few dates for, and she is fine with cats. She is mellow and not overly active, but she does enjoy walks.
She needs a home with a secure wooden privacy fence (chain link will not do although a tall aluminum or wrought iron would be OK) and she would love to have a home with a dog door and a friend at home. This is not a dog that can be left home for 8 hours a day in an apartment, so don’t apply for her if you have that lifestyle. She needs to be inside dog with outdoor privileges. She loves long walks, but that fenced yard is mandatory with this dog. She is an incredibly sweet dog who is affectionate and lovely and she will make the right home a perfect dog.
