Hazel

My Story

Hazel is a true grand dame; a dignified 11-year old 50-lb shepherd-terrier mix who is looking for a forever home with a suitable and cozy couch (read: throne) for her to spend her days sprawled across. Hazel loves to see what the world has to offer her, and especially loves to go for rides in her chariot. Hazel can be a little reserved when she meets new people. She seems to warm up a little faster with the ladies, but does come around with the gents as well. Once she is comfortable, she is an affectionate girl who loves cuddles and belly rubs.

Hazel has done well with the children she’s met, happily accepting pets from all. She is good with other dogs and unknown cats (although there’s one cat in her neighborhood that she did express interest in chasing…). Hazel does well on the leash, and adores her walks. A true lady, she is house trained and entirely trustworthy when left unsupervised with free reign of the house. Hazel is food motivated, and is fully aware on the treasure that the refrigerator holds within. Hazel is low energy, and is sated with a daily walk and light romp in the yard.
