My Story

Xena is a 4 year old, 92 pound rottweiler, probably a mix, but we’ll go with rottie. She came to us as an owner surrender who could not manage the dog with her lifestyle. We aren’t sure what that means because Xena is a good girl.

Xena is probably best as an only dog because she is pretty dominant. If you want to know who in the dog kingdom wears the crown, it would be Xena. She is a very bossy girl and she just wants it the way she wants it. She can and does get along with other dogs, but the dogs needs to be low key and submissive. We’d prefer to just let her go to a home where she can be the Empress of all that She Surveys and who gets ALL the rotisserie chicken and not merely part of it.

Xena is exceptionally social with people and she is very well-mannered. She is active and she is athletic which is typical for the breed. She needs a fenced yard with enough room to run because she occasionally feels the need for speed. This dog is housebroken and would not dream of peeing in the house because that is for the uncouth in her mind. She would be best in a home with kids past the age of 8 given her size and power. This is definitely a no cat dog.
