My Story

Scotty is a not quite four year old, 85 pound boxer mastiff mix. Scotty came to us last fall as a refugee from Hurricane Ida and he arrived in rough shape. On arrival, he weighed only 52 pounds. After a lot of care and TLC he is now ready to go home.

Scotty is a very good boy. He is fantastic with people, kids included. He is good with dogs outside the home, but in his own home, he prefers to be the only dog. He does have his friends, but he is not interested in sharing his space. He is not good with cats and needs to be in a cat free home.

Scotty is a very affectionate, easy going dog. He loves life and he loves his people. He is all about snacks and petting and he does enjoy his playtime in the yard. We think he would be best in a home with a fenced yard as he has spurts of running like a mad man. He has an old injury to his hip that does not slow him down and the surgeon says is not repairable. We wouldn’t have found it if we hadn’t x-rayed him.

This dog will make someone an outstanding pet. If you are interested in adopting Scotty, please complete an application and the reach out to jay@bigfluffydogs.com
