My Story

Missile is a 2 year old, 60 pound German shepherd mix. Missile had a less than stellar start to life and he came to us very reserved. He has come a very long way and is a happy guy these days.

Missile is a sweet, somewhat shy dog. He is good with other dogs and in fact takes his cues from them when he isn’t quite sure what to do. He is playful and active with other dogs and he enjoys toys and playtime in general. He is intelligent and eager to please and learns quickly.

He has finally mastered the leash and he has learned basic manners. I would suggest that he go to a home with people who are fairly laid back and who are patient while this dog gets to know them. He is a very nice boy but he is not an in your face out of the gate kind of guy. A home with another dog is a must for him. He is not trustworthy with cats and he must have a fenced yard.

People who know shepherds will love this dog. He has all the good qualities of the shepherd without the 1000 yard stare intensity of a purebred.
