My Story

Lucy is a 3-year old Australian Cattle dog/Beagle mix who weighs in at a svelte 55 lbs. Lucy was dumped at a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. They begged, we took one look at her, and knew we had to break her out. She’s just so awesome.

Lucy is a people loving girl who will need slow intros to other dogs. She has a pretty good Tigger bounce, and doesn’t realize that this can cause toddlers go boom, so we feel it is best to place Lucy in a home with older kids. She is scared by loud noises and fast moving things, like bikes/scooters/etc, so a calm quiet space would make her happiest. She loves people and loves when her family is home, so we’d prefer a home where someone is home more often than not. Lots walks and plenty of belly rubs would round out her wish list. Lucy will be a lifelong companion and shower love on her family.
