My Story

Please meet the very beautiful Jessie!

Jessie a 5 year old blue tick coonhound weighing about 75 pounds. If you’re not familiar with coonhounds, some things you should know are:

1. They love to sing the song of their people and so they require non-apartment type housing so they can sing to their hearts content without neighbors banging on the ceiling!

2. Despite the huge ears they have, they can go from having selective hearing to warning you about the amazon truck coming from a mile away – You’re package is coming!

3. Coonhounds were originally bred for hunting so squirrels, rabbits, and any other wildlife beware – this also applies to kitties!

4. And lastly, they love their pack and will accept love back in all forms that include tasty treats, lots of snuggles, and plenty of compliments about how soft their ears are!

Jessie loves other pups but isn’t quite familiar with the act of playing with others but with slow intros and another pup to show her the ropes, she will pick it up quickly! She is also super affectionate and enjoys giving out free hugs to anyone who will accept one from her, and so because of this, sturdy children would be a must for this sweet girl since she likes to give hugs no matter who is on the receiving end!

Jessie’s ideal home would be one with a physically fenced yard so she can patrol her borders and sing the song of her people. Because of her high intelligence levels, she would also love a family that can exercise that big brain of her through continuing her training and socialization.
