My Story

Jay-Jay. Jay-Jay is the man! He came from a hoarding case in the deep South. He survived. He escaped. He agrees with Bob D that “he stayed a day too long In Mississippi.” He would add some days to that number, however.
He is much happier now. And he is a good boy. An exceptionally good boy. He has impeccable leash manners.

He also is very genteel and decorous about where he, ahem!, “does his business” and can read the sign that says “Dogs” on the door that leads outside to the “facilities.” He is a little wary of men just at first and would prefer that they have an extra supply of treats so that everyone gets over those first meeting jitters more quickly. And getting to know him everyone agrees is “so worth it.” He will repay your patience with cuddles and unswerving loyalty.

As a hoarding boy, he is used to and likes other dogs. He ignored the kennel cat, but he isn’t being fostered with cats so we really don’t know about them. We suggest children over 6 who understant the slow warm up period and, also, he had double knee surgery while with the rescue. He would need children old enough to understand he might be a little wary of them around his legs.

He is a young boy: we think around 2. And he’s a mini next to our giant breeds at only 40 lbs. Such a handsome gentleman, his lovely coat shining in the sunlight. He is ready for his new home and his very own family. If you are interested in Jay-Jay, please contact kim.tompkins@bigfluffydogs.com.
