Gordo

My Story

This adorable little dude is Gordo. He came to us from a hoarding situation, along with his siblings and several other dogs.

Gordo is a 2-year-old Dachshund mix who weighs about 22 pounds (and could probably stand to lose a few, as he’s got a chubby little belly). Gordo is naturally pretty shy and scared right now, as his whole world changed. He will need a patient adopter who will help him come out of his shell and learn what it’s like to live in the comforts of a home. He loves to be held and will surely be a velcro dog.

Gordo’s ideal home will include a fenced yard and a doggy sibling who can show him the ropes and help him gain confidence. He’d do best in a quieter home with no small kiddos. He will need some time to decompress but, with his sweet demeanor, we’re sure he’ll open up in no time!
