My Story

Georgia is an 8 year old, 55 pound black lab. She came to us from a shelter in Louisiana where she rode out Hurricane Harvey. She had been in the shelter for a few weeks before the storm and we took her to make room for displaced dogs.

Despite her senior status, this is a lab that does not realize she is a senior and should be dignified. She is playful and active and very social. She is great with people of all ages and she is great with other dogs. She is not so good with cats.

Georgia walks well on a leash, she is well-mannered and rides well in the car. I suspect she would love to go hiking and swimming and she would do well with pretty much any family. This is a pretty much perfect dog.
