My Story

ELLIE MAE AND MANNY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER

Ellie Mae and Manny are a bonded pair and approx 2 yrs old. They are Mini Schnauzers who, along with another Schnauzer, a Pyr, and 5 birds, had been left alone in a house after their owner got very ill, and was hospitalized and then moved to a nursing home. During this time, all the animals were locked in the house and a family member came over every other day to put food and water out for them. About 4 weeks into this, the power and water was cut off to the house. Two weeks later the owner died, and we were contacted. You can imagine the condition and smell…

These two little guys took loosing their mom and their home the worst. They are both starved for attention and soak up every second of it. They love toys and chasing toys. Ellie loves her walks outside of home, but Manny is afraid of his new surroundings and needs to be double secured. A fenced yard will be a must for these two to give them confidence being off leash in yard. A quiet/calm home is best, with kids over 8 yrs old. Someone home more often than not as Ellie Mae has separation anxiety and will bark, cry and howl when left alone..and Manny will chime in. They are not apartment dogs because of this, but in time they will hopefully realize that their people are always going to come back home to them. Both dogs should be fine with cats. They are great with their foster mom’s three resident dogs.

From their foster mom: “These pups are so loving to each other and to their person. They can’t get close enough to their human. (They are the) sweetest pups!”

If you are interested in adopting two adorable, loving, playful pups, please fill out an adoption application and then email Jen.Lu@BigFluffyDogs.com to let her know you would like to give these sweet dogs a home.
