My Story

The smile on Dustin’s face says it all! He is grateful that BFDR gave him a chance at life. Dustin is one of the dogs we pulled from a Louisiana shelter after Hurricane Harvey hit – don’t worry, he was there long before the storm. We took him out to help the shelter make room for displaced pets.

Dustin is a 7 year old, 67 pound chocolate lab mix and he has a very typical lab personality. He gets along with all of the dogs he has met, but would do best with dogs who are not dominant or want to jump on him. Dustin is way too dignified to be jumped on. He also needs a no cat home. He would be great with kids grade school age and up.
