My Story

Are you looking for a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, snuggly love bug? If so, Dougie might be the dog for you!

Dougie is a 62 lb, 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd mix. He’s a medium to high energy guy who loves to run, play fetch, go on long walks or hikes, and play in the yard with other dogs. He would probably be a great running companion. When he’s had a good romp, Dougie loves to crash and is a world class sofa sleeper.

He loves people, but would do best with kids in their teen years. He knows his name, sits on command, and comes when called. He responds very well to redirection and he listens well – he is a smart boy who wants to do what his people ask him to do.

Dougie loves affection, pats, and especially belly rubs. He wants to be with his people, but he also does well alone. He is crate trained, tho he doesn’t love it, and prefers to sleep on a dog bed, where he will sleep through the night with a few adorable snores.
