My Story

Dori is a super sweet young girl, who at just over 6 months of age is ready for a home to call her own. Our best guess for breed with her is that she is a Basenji mix. She was dumped at a high kill shelter where she was super scared and we felt she deserved a better life than that, so she became a Big Fluffy.

Dori had a way too close encounter with a car when she was only 4 weeks old, Because of this, so she will always have a hitch in her giddy up, and sports only one eye. Dory is learning to cope with life this way, and is quickly learning that humans can and should be trusted. After all, they have wonderful things like treats, dog beds, and couches.

Dori needs a home with another well rounded dog to help teach her how do do all things dog. She is good with cats and older kids. Because she is still figuring out life and most things scare her, we think kids under 8 would be too much for her at this point in her life.

Despite her past, Dori is sweet, loving and kind, and just really wants a family to call her own.
