My Story

Dana is approx 2 years old and about 12 lbs of adorable Terrier scruffiness!

She originally from a hoarding case in the rural south with 20 of her closest friends. She was pregnant when we rescued her and successfully gave birth two 2 puppies, who have both gone on to their forever homes. Now it is her turn!

Dana was not well socialized due to the circumstances of her early life, so she is still extremely shy around people. She enjoys following you around the house to watch what you’re doing, will come when called, and walks nicely on leash, but she does not like being approached directly or handled. She will need someone patient who will give her the time to adjust and earn her trust.

Dana LOVES other dogs and a home with another confident four-legged playmate is a must for her. She loves playing and running zoomies around the yard, so a securely fenced yard would be a huge bonus. Dana has also lived with cats and parrots and ignores both.

Because she is so nervous, a home without young children is best. Older kids who understand that they need to allow her to approach them on her own terms would be just fine! Dana would love a quieter household without a lot of comings and goings and someone who can be home with her as much as possible. She is housebroken and crate trained.
