My Story

I would like to introduce you to a mature lady who is truly special. Dahlia is a 45 pound lab mix. Our best guess puts her at around 6 years old. She has that unfortunate gray face that labs tend to get earlier in life, but she certainly doesn’t act like an old lady! She LOVES people, including kids, almost as much as she loves squeaky toys and zoomies around the yard. She has bursts of playful energy and then is ready for her afternoon siesta. She loves giving kisses and getting butt scritches (I mean, who doesn’t, right?) Dahlia did come to us from a hoarding case, so she would prefer to be the only dog in the home, with maybe an exception for one other dog that shares her “leave me alone and I’ll leave you alone” mentality. She was completely disinterested in the kennel cats, so dog-savvy cats should be just fine. She walks nicely on leash and is housebroken, which is a huge benefit to opening your heart and your home to an adult dog! For those of you who adore that silly and sweet Lab personality, this is your girl! Dahlia deserves an amazing home where she can get all the snuggles, and chase all the balls!
