My Story

Betsy is a 3 year old, 70 pound Great Pyrenees who arrived emaciated, matted and with a collar embedded in her neck. After receiving the best TLC you can get from our Big Fluffy family, life is looking up these days for Betsy and she is ready to go home.

Betsy is likely going to gain more weight over the next couple of months and we would like to see her top out around 80 pounds. She is a sweet, incredibly friendly dog who loves everyone. Due to her size, we feel she would be best in a home with children well past the screeching years- at least 10 or older would be awesome.

Betsy is a lover of humans, and has been fine with every cat she has met. Dogs however make her extremely nervous and she would not be a good candidate for a multiple dog household. She is a Queen, and rightly needs to rule her roost alone. Betsy is a Great Pyrenees, and certainly possesses many of their traits we know and love. She sheds (gasp), barks at mouse queefs, and has sudden attacks of deafness when she doesn’t want to come in the house. She is relatively low energy. She walks well on a leash, is house trained, and is gentle with her humans. A fenced in yard is a must for our girl.
